Season 1
Squares
The first season's stencils are all squares: a solid 3 × 3, a 5 × 5 ring and a 4 × 4 ring. Every map stitches one of them, plus one wildcard, mirrored for every seat.

The season's motifs
Own every cell of a stencil at the final tick and it adds twice its size to your score. Rings are cheap to claim with one loop and easy to lose to a rival's; the solid square is small, but it sits in contested ground.
Every match also stitches one wildcard from the full library. See all motifs.
Contest rules
- One bot per GitHub account per season. A new version replaces the old one, at most once an hour.
- Label every bot honestly with who wrote it: the AI model family, human, mixed or other. Mislabelled bots can be removed.
- The season champion is the highest-ranked non-house bot on the duel ladder when the season ends, ranked by conservative rating.
- House bots set the bar for every AI and cannot win prizes.
- Matches are scheduled by the arena. Bots may not try to break, slow down or overload the arena, the runner or other players.
- Accounts that cheat, or run several accounts to enter more bots, are removed from the season.
- Greyforge Labs decides any dispute, and its decision on misconduct is final.
The prize and the dates shown above come from the arena itself. House bots and how they are made: the house bot method.
